The Secret to a Perfect Centre Part

 In Hair Styling

A really clean centre part that’s perfectly positioned in the middle of your head looks amazing and adds a line of symmetry that makes you seem more attractive to the human eye.  All well and good, but it is sometimes tricky to get exactly right. At least that’s what I used to think until I did a little research and tried out a few suggestions which I have found work really well.

Nowadays I can get a seamlessly manicured centre part in seconds. Here’s what I learned about how to get a perfectly divided centre part precisely in the right place on my head, every time without fail.

  • Use a fine-toothed comb to draw the line. A wide-toothed comb is great for combing out tangles and getting your hair sorted without creating frizz, but to get an exact, precise line, you want a comb with small teeth placed as close to each other as possible.
  • Use the tip of your nose as a guide for where to place the comb. A good trick here is to place the tip of the finger of one hand on your nose, and then draw a line with your comb from there, up over your forehead, and back across your head. This way you’ve got a better chance of getting a part right in the middle, instead of just randomly guessing where to start and ending up with something slightly off centre.
  • Think of it like this: it’s like everything, you might not get it straight away on your first try, or even at all, but after you’ve been doing this for a while it will become second nature and you’ll be whipping your hair into a clean, slick, dead centre part in no time.
