t’s true, there are many options available out there when it comes to hair extensions you can buy. Aside from the different methods of application (clip in, tape in, sew in etc), there’s different kinds of hair – Remy, non-Remy, synthetic. And they all vary according to price. So understandably, it can be tempting to save a few bucks by going for something that looks pretty much the same at first glance? Surely?
The fact is, you will probably end up spending more cash overall if you buy cheap hair extensions. Here’s why:
Cheaply made extensions won’t match your real hair. Hair made of synthetic material won’t make you feel fantastic either. People will be able to tell the difference and you’ll look, let’s say, a little weird. Sooner or later you’ll end up ditching them anyway to replace them with the real deal – Remy human hair.
They won’t last. Cheaper extensions are made of non-Remy hair which means they have been made from hairs collected from the floor, stripped of their cuticle, and coated in silicon. After a couple of washes, they will start to matte and tangle and you’ll see pretty quickly why they were priced so low. You can try applying a deep conditioner, putting a mask on them, or going to the hairdresser to get them fixed up, but the truth is you can’t restore cheaply made dead hair. In the meantime, you’re walking around with bad hair that just looks terrible.
High-quality Remy hair that we supply at Medusa is sourced from real, human hair, and is cut altogether in the one length, and treated so it will keep its shine and last as long as possible.
Save yourself the trouble and the inevitable dramas. Get yourself some quality hair extensions first up, you’ll love it I promise!
