How To Apply Your Medusa’s
Prepare A Good Base For The Wefts
You may find that your Medusa extensions slip or slide throughout the day if you have thin hair. To give the weft something to hold on to without sliding, create a firm base to clip on the weft. You can create a good base by applying a small amount of hairspray or dry shampoo to the root of the section you’ll be clipping the hair to. You’ll then need to tease the hair a little.
Establish Where To Attach Your Extensions
Before you start clipping in your extensions, it’s essential to establish exactly where your safe zone is. The safe zone is the area on your head where you can add your extensions without risk of them being seen. To do this, you’ll need to draw an imaginary line around your head, starting at one eyebrow and meeting up with the other eyebrow on the other side. Anywhere below that line is where you will clip in your wefts.
Choose Your Wefts
Start by applying the larger wefts to the back of the head then work your way around to the front with the smaller ones. Sometimes, you won’t need to use all the wefts, and that’s okay.
Tease Out Your Crown
After you’ve clipped all your wefts in, you will notice how much thicker and longer it all looks. You might find that it’s quite noticeable that there is much more hair at the bottom than at the top of your head, especially if your natural hair is on the thin side. To overcome this and balance out the appearance, tease out your hair at the crown.
Style Your Extensions
Adding some waves or curls can help to create a seamless blend between your natural hair and the extensions. Wrap your natural hair and the extensions together around a curling iron to make sure they flow into one another. Our short video above shows how to curl your hair quickly and easily for a completely natural effect.
