The whole process of deciding how to style your hair for this year’s various summer holiday parties is actually half the fun. This year, you have a few options to choose from.
Kick back with a glass of bubbly and dazzle your friends and work colleagues with your fabulous looking summer party hair by creating one of these fresh ideas we’ve found that are trending this December:
Get A Professional Blowdry
You can’t go wrong. Well girl, actually, you can, especially if you’re used to walking out with wet hair to save some money for an extra cocktail or two! Maybe familiarise yourself with what they do at your salon to avoid any last-minute regrets by booking a trial run before an important date.
Updated Half Up
The half-up style is a casual summer party favourite. It looks effortless and is super easy to achieve. This year, try updating the style by stacking a huge messy bun on top instead of a small top knot, (inspired by Anna Sui SS20 runway). Apply a full set of extensions to create some long, loosely textured waves, and you’ll attract all the right attention.
You can find instructions on how to achieve something similar at home here (without a team of stylists).
Accessorised High Pony
You’ve seen Ariane Grande’s signature pony right? If you have straight hair and find it a challenge to achieve the messy, textured styles then a sleek pony is probably a better option.
Clip in some extensions for volume and length. Slick your hair back into a super high, smooth pony and go bold with the accessories, a chain necklace, super-sized hoop earrings or some gorgeous diamante-embellished ear cuffs.
If you really want to create a buzz, hop on the latest 2020 SS retro trend by curling your ends to create a flipped up pony that’ll be the envy of all!
Go Natural
Airdried hair is totally trending, and as long as you know what you’re doing, you can easily style your mane to look easy and breezy this summer. Create an effortlessly long and voluminous look with hair extensions without having to do much at all. Apply a weightless mousse to towel-dried hair, starting 2″ from the roots, then 8o% dry with a diffuser. Clip in you extensions, then separate hair into small sections, twist with your fingers and draw out with a small brush as you dry the remaining 20%. Voila, you’re done!
